A Guide to Your Goals

I was 13 when my family and I moved to California from Japan, and while I might not look like a local, I call the Bay Area my home. I went to both middle and high schools in Palo Alto, and graduated from Occidental College with Biochemistry major and Music minor. Living and adjusting to life here came with challenges at times, but people that I've met were so nice and kind, and I have received tremendous support from people around me. Now I would like to give back to the community by doing what I can do to help people. 

I don't talk a lot about myself ​to others, but there is a few things I'd like to share with you. It happened all of a sudden when I was 16. I became afraid of people's eyes. I was afraid of looking into people's eyes,
